The West African Peace and Security Network is pleased to confirm the details of its 2017 workshop to be held at University of Portsmouth between the 29th and 30th June.
On the 29th June three expert panels will discuss the topics of maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea, donor responses to insecurity in West Africa and the rise of Boko Haram. The 30th June will involve a PhD workshop showcasing the latest research from postgraduate researchers working in the fields of maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea and jihad in the West African setting.
Both events will be held at the University of Portsmouth’s Portland Building (room 1.67). All are welcome but please RSVP in advance to marcus.mccorkell@port.ac.uk as space is limited.
